Who we are
The Learning Access Institute, is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization, focused on helping communities
expand access to learning opportunities. We develop new technologies, to enhance access to information and
learning opportunities and apply them to the needs of the disenfranchised and the underserved in the United States and
throughout the world.
Foremost we are deeply interested in libraries, and then particularly those which may never have automated, or not kept their systems
up-to-date and the effects this has on the ability for you to serve your community.
We understand that for many smaller libraries, staff is overcommitted, relying much on volunteers and struggling to make budgets work
on an annual basis. This is why our tools are optimized to maximize your libraries ability to use volunteers to get your
automation tasks accomplished. From initial implementation to day-to-day activities.
We are there for you
At the Learning Access Institute we understand your needs to make technology work for you rather then creating yet an other daily burden.
We understand too, that your local support options maybe limited and that you may require much more then the typical technical support
offered.
Our experience in helping many smaller libraries of all types with their automation tasks, combined with our deep commitment to
communities, gives our partners access to support, advice and training which is unparalleled.
