LearningAccess IFProxy
Learning Access IFProxy provides a reliable solution to the perplexing challenges of filtering online content in the
public and school library environment. Transparent to users, Learning Access IFProxy, manages access to inappropriate
content and insures that your library will be compliant with the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
Flexible and easy to operate, LearningAccess IFProxy frees library staff to focus on providing library services rather
then policing public access workstations internet use.
Easy to administrate from a web-browser, access and filtering levels can easily be adjusted or disabled on a per workstation
basis. The Learning Access Institute has over 10 years of experience in working with small to medium size public libraries
within in the US. It is uniquely positioned to assist libraries in their efforts to comply with CIPA, and more broadly
their digital information needs.
How it works
LearningAccess IFProxy is installed on your local network and screens all internet web traffic. It uses databases
to determine if access should either be granted or denied to a particular website. The database of blocked URL's
can be automatically updated by a robot, as well as augmented by the library staff. The library can further
maintain a list of always unblocked sites to ensure that certain sites or web pages are always available.
LearningAccess IFProxy is based on true and proven technology used in many core systems found on the Internet today.
The fact that it is specifically built for public libraries by librarians ensures that it provides one of the
more flexible CIPA compliant solutions to date. It's easy to use administrator web interface makes it particularly
easy to adjust or disable filtering for each public workstation in your library.
LearningAccess IFProxy is managed using an intuitive web browser interface. Individual workstations can each easily
be managed and either granted/ denied web access, granted filtered or un-filtered web access, and when granted filtered
web access, assigned either one of three pre-defined or an optional custom level of filtering.
New library workstations can easily be added to the LearningAccess IFProxy system using and workstations
maybe assigned default filtering and access rules.

LearningAccess IFProxy is competitively priced, and does not require annual subscription and licensing renewal fees.
